The high quality of the presentations that we have at the Mini iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an Mini iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

Sessions for the Mini iMoot are to be a maximum of 45 minutes long including question time.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Moodle vs Google - Showdown... Or best of both worlds?

Content Type: Online Teaching and Course Creation

Language: Emnglish

Description of Presentation

A number of teachers often ask what system SHOULD they use? Which is BETTER? Google Classrooms? Moodle? What ONE system is the best?

In this session, Andrew goes through comparing a few different teaching features in Moodle and in Google for Education (now known as GSuite). We weigh up the different features and benefits of the platforms for doing things like online quizzes, online assignments, managing students, and as general learning platforms. Both have their strengths, and we'll go through how you might be able to use both together as the most powerful platform for teaching and learning.
